Did you know that a single incident of road rage increases your chances of a heart attack for three days? Henri Roca, MD, Medical Director of Greenwich Hospital's Integrative Medicine Program, leads participants to a place of calmness utilizing multiple methods that participants will experience, learn, and take home to de-stress. Stress is a significant cause of increased cardiovascular events including angina, heart attack and hypertension. Stress even affects plaque in the arteries. By learning to release stress and invite calmness, some of the drivers of cardiovascular disease may be controlled without medications. This class is especially useful for individuals with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, angina, palpitations, congestive heart failure and for heart attack survivors. This is a 5-session course.
