Adrenal Essence (for adrenal health)
The imbalances in the chemistries of our brains and our bodies are often an outcome of constant stress. As the world has become more complicated, so have our lives; the sources of stress are more plentiful than ever before. The impact of stress ultimately affects the adrenal glands. These are tiny organs that sit on the kidneys. These little guys have a huge job. They not only control the release of cortisol, which is a natural anti-inflammation molecule when the adrenals function normally; they also act as a key part of the messenger system that tells the brain what chemicals to secrete to help manage our mental energy. Due to the increasing cases of low adrenal function, exhaustion, and chronic fatigue, we are now stocking an herbal support product called Adrenal Essence, produced by Xymogen. Using classic herbs, this science-based formula combines classic herbal medicine with the technology of today.

Ossopan MD (for bone health)
Also from Xymogen, we are introducing Ossopan MD, a new formula containing calcium with magnesium and vitamin D. As we age we need to maintain strong and healthy bones. Whether our diet is lacking the necessary nutrients to do this, or not, supplementing with good quality calcium and Vitamin D is the main address for bone density issues. There are many forms of calcium available to us and they all vary in effectiveness. Ossopan MD contains an effective absorbed form of calcium combined with additional chelates of calcium and magnesium for maximum possible absorption. The microcrystalline form of calcium has many of the factors that are missing from other formulas. Since insurance companies do not pay for bone density tests as often as we would like, it is important for us to optimize the way we improve our bones. A healthy alkaline diet, including many of the calcium rich vegetables, as well as reasonable amounts of weight resistance exercise are always advised but often not enough to compensate for the years of deterioration, so this is one area where supplementation may be necessary.
