Roberta Brown Brugo, RN, nurse clinician-educator and yoga instructor, recently received a certification in Yoga Nidra from the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Yoga Nidra, means “dynamic sleep” and is a form of guided meditation and deep relaxation. It produces a wakeful state of deep introversion and connection within ourselves that is relaxing, rejuvenating, and helps to bring out innate healing. An enjoyable and easy practice, Yoga Nidra is more accessible than most forms of yoga since all it requires is lying down or sitting in a chair and listening for 15-45 minutes. Roberta will be incorporating Yoga Nidra at the end of her Yoga Sensations class held at the Center on Fridays from 9:30-11:00am.
