Eileen Zhaoyang Chen


Eileen Zhaoyang Chen is a licensed acupuncturist in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. She graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (China) with a Bachelor’s degree in medicine. Following graduation was a gynecologist of Yue Yang Hospital affiliated with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Believing that body and mind could affect each other and influence an individual’s health, Ms. Chen came to the United States and received her Master’s degree in psychology from Long Island University. Her graduation thesis was “Using Acupuncture to Treat Drug Dependence”.

To further enhance her knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine, Ms. Chen earned a PhD degree in Oriental Medicine Research Advancement from American Global University. The graduation dissertation was “The Hypothesis, Theories, and Practice of Using Chinese Medicine to Treat Parkinson’s Disease”.

In addition to her work at the Center for Integrative Medicine, Eileen Chen has been in private practice in New York City for over 10 years. She also teaches traditional Chinese herbal medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and Touro College Graduate Program of Oriental Medicine in New York City. Previously, she supervised the acupuncture detoxification program for a non-profit organization in the Bronx for nine years.
