Roberta Brown Brugo, RN, BSN, LMT, HTCP, Certified Yoga Teacher


Roberta serves the Center for Integrative Medicine as a Nurse Clinician-Educator and coordinator of Yoga, Meditation and Tai Chi classes. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Harford in Connecticut and her massage therapy certification from The Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. Ms. Brown Brugo attended the Swedish Institute in New York City, specializing in Shiatsu and is a licensed massage therapist in both Connecticut and New York. She is a Healing Touch certified practitioner, facilitating monthly practice sessions for the new Healing Touch hospital volunteers.

Ms. Brown Brugo graduated from the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health where she received her yoga certification. She is also certified in Peggy Huddleston’s Prepare for Surgery, Heal Faster™ body/mind program and received training in complementary medicine techniques including biofeedback. Roberta is dedicated to cultivating a safe, nurturing and sacred space for her patients’ physical, emotional and spiritual healing. She is committed to preventive medicine and facilitating others in their process of learning to relax utilizing the healing potential of yoga, stress management and bodywork techniques.
